Last week the President announced a plan for extended unemployment relief for the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns. The Michigan Governor has chosen not to participate in that program and will skip payments to struggling residents.
The State of Michigan has formed a Task Force to identify fraud within the state’s unemployment program. A huge number of applicants are still waiting for benefits while many employers and business remain shut down. This is a terrible time for claimants to be having problems and it’s totally unacceptable.
This morning the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the US economy added 4.8 million jobs in June. Over the past two months that adds up to a total of 7.3 million jobs. This shows that employers are ramping up hiring in expectation of an increase in economic activity. Restaurants
