Harvard’s 2020-2021 Academic Year to be Taught Online, Still Costs $49,653.00

Harvard has just made the announcement that it’s 2020-2021 academic year will be taught online. The announcement comes in lieu of the nationwide pandemic declared for coronavirus. Unfortunately for undergraduates, there’s no corresponding drop in tuition. The cost for undergraduates to attend Harvard is still a hefty $49,653.00.

Students in this new academic year will miss out on all of the elements of college that take place on campus. Networking among students and extra-curricular activities will be heavily impacted.

The exact policy from Harvard is still unclear. At first the University announced students would be coming back in the Fall semester. Later it clarified that only 40% of students would come back to campus.

“Without a vaccine or effective clinical treatments for the virus, we know that no choice that reopens the campus is without risk.”
